Anaheim Packing House Food Court in Anaheim

anaheim packing house

The combinations are virtually endless and with seasonal offerings, the ante is always being upped. A quick look at Anaheim GardenWalk’s directory reveals a solid mix of choices. If you’re a conventioneer ready to put down the iPad and relax, head for the broad outdoor patio and fire pits at Fire + Ice Grill + Bar.

Urbana

One of my favorite places to eat at is Georgia’s, with spectacular southern food, including the best chili mac & cheese I’ve ever had. I’m not normally a thin crust kind of girl, but I am a fan of Ecco for sure. If you want something different, try the Lamb Kabseh ($15) and be ready to eat it right down to the bones.

What are the hours of the Packing District Merchants?

If free-falling sounds like your thing, drop into the Foam Zone; the sense of weightlessness can be downright dreamy. Reservations are recommended, and you can reserve from 30 minutes to two hours of time on the tramps. In the 1980s, a growing number of people from Middle Eastern and North African countries settled in sunny Anaheim. Today they operate stores and eateries, many clustered in West Anaheim. This is the place to go for the enticing cuisines of Lebanon, Morocco, and Saudi Arabia—as well as Armenia—often at very affordable prices. There is plenty to discover beyond the borders of the happiest place on Earth—including an eclectic mix of shopping spots, sports teams, tours and music venues.

The classic Urbana margarita ($12) with fresh citrus juices and blanco tequila is addictive. But if you Ubered….order the Plus ($13) with Tapatio 110 proof blanco tequila, fresh lime, can sugar and a side swipe of salt. Real deal chef Lai ran the kitchen at the Fashion Island Hotel and he was chef de cuisine at Watertable at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort  & Spa before that. For now there are earthy rabbit meatballs ($15) with basil tomato sauce, queso fresco and ciabatta.

To book a private venue, please review our post, Venues for Groups and Events.

Check out California-centric “A” Wine Cellar wine bar in Section 111. Buy a bottle and it transferred into an unbreakable carafe--with two plastic glasses--so you can enjoy it at the game. To get the local vibe, hang out by the Trout Farm (Section 101), the designated cheering section for star center fielder Mike Trout. There aren’t many places where you can visit an old-fashioned barbershop while enjoying a local craft beer, but that's what’s on tap at Barbeer—just one of the trendy stores at Center Street Promenade. Whether you want to rock out to big names like the Foo Fighters and Katy Perry or prefer smaller clubs with an indie music vibe, Anaheim has venues to suit your mood and style.

There’s a wooden bar that wraps around the counter in front of the display kitchen if you like to watch the show, common tables in front and porch seating outside for those who want to get social. Look for dinners, cooking classes and other fun foodie gatherings by visiting adyaoc.com. The Anaheim Packing House will be five years old in May and it’s more popular than ever stuffed with kids crying for ice cream, date night couples crowding bars and valets in the parking lot running their tails off.

When the season ends, the Honda Center transforms into a thrilling entertainment venue featuring top acts like the Foo Fighters and more family-friendly events like Disney on Ice. Let’s start with the main attraction, the Anaheim Packing House. This food hall is housed in the restored Packard Building, a former citrus packing house. The Packing House features over 20 artisan eateries and shops, each with their own unique flavor and style. Maybe you love great steak—like Los Angeles Angels star outfielder Mike Trout, who celebrated his contract extension with a Cowboy Ribeye here. Or maybe you know how to two-step or line dance (can you say “Watermelon Crawl”?).

You’re allowed  two sides, so grab some crisp large shred coleslaw, along with red beans and rice to sop up the sauce. If you love sandwiches, pick up the Spicy Andouille Po Boy ($8.95). It’s fully “dressed” with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, dill pickles, Dijon mustard and garlic mayo which all soaks into a warm French roll.

The Ranch Restaurant & Saloon

Over 3,500 bustling Vietnamese-owned businesses and restaurants pack the region, home to almost 40,000 Vietnamese Americans. Little Saigon covers roughly three square miles, mostly in the city of Westminster, but also spills over into Garden Grove, Santa Ana, and Fountain Valley. Baseball, hockey, and now football fans cheer for their teams throughout the year, and their home stadiums and arenas score points with their special features and offerings. Walkable, livable, sociable areas have sprouted around the town in recent years, making the city a worthy magnet for both locals and visitors. Speaking of secrets, I haven’t mentioned the one hiding in plain sight in this landmark building. Dare I reveal it or should I keep what may very well be my favorite non-Disney place in Anaheim to myself?

People are still coming to the Anaheim Packing House after 100 years… only this time, they’re not just coming for the oranges. Over at Mini-Monster, a delicious hot cocoa can be ordered, just beware of the snowman taking a hot cocoa bath. You’ll also notice an abundance of phones and cameras out, and while we have no official statement confirming this, every food item here seems to be designed with Instagram in mind. The Anaheim Packing District consists of the Center Street Promenade, Farmers Park, the Packard Building, the MAKE Building (later in the series), and the focus of our travels today, the historic Anaheim Packing House.

Right at the heart of it is the restored Anaheim Packing House, a former Sunkist citrus-packing facility built in 1919. Abandoned for decades, the building has been reborn as a multi-storey food hall, with entertainment spaces for live music and events. Inside, two dozen food stalls and eateries—many focusing on hyper-local ingredients—tempt you to stop, taste and enjoy. Stop by Lemon Drop for a pressed juice or lemonade and then plan your dining strategy.

Sweeten your visit to the Anaheim Packing House with a hand-dipped gelato pop. It’s a DIY dessert when you select your gelato flavor, dipping and toppings, too. There’s no wrong way to personalize your pop, but if you’re looking for inspiration try the Chocolate Covered Pistachio combo.

We even got a peek at the Disneyland fireworks going off from Farmer’s Park, which was a fun way to end the night. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, especially on weekends when the Packing District is busiest. The Kroft serves over-the-top poutines, out-of-this-world sandwiches, and drool-worthy sides make this location simply can't-miss.

BXCR serves guests wine and classic cocktails in a box-car inspired setting. Create your own dish at Rolling Boil, where you can choose from varying broths, veggies, and protein to create your ideal meal. Experience Mexican cuisine with a fine dining flair at Urbana (pictured above), an award-winning restaurant serving gourmet tacos, hand-crafted cocktails, and fresh ceviches. Head over to Adya and dive into flavorful street-food-style Indian food, including Chicken Tikka Masala or Tandoori Chicken. Welcome to the Anaheim Packing District, one of my favorite places to hang out and eat delicious food!

Alaska & the Inside Passage 2025 Itinerary Vancouver, British Columbia to Seward, Alaska

viking alaska cruise

We thought this might have been on the coast, but it is actually just a little inland along the fast-running creek. I’ve written a story here about using digital painting techniques to bring some life and warmth back into the rather drab scene on Creek Street in the rain. By Monday morning, we had reached the small town of Skagway set in its glacial valley. Skagway was built to support the gold rush that created so much wealth (and destroyed so many lives) in the 1890s as it was one of main ways that miners aiming to try their luck in the Klondike started their journey in Alaska.

Optional shore excursions/tours/concerts, excess baggage charges, drinks, beverages and meals not included in the package are additional costs to the passenger. Information deemed reliable but not guaranteed -- please confirm details at time of booking. Stateroom photos are for sample purposes only -- actual design and layout may vary. Viking Ocean Cruises' Alaskan voyages typically span 11 days, providing ample time to explore the region's natural wonders.

Panama Canal and the Pacific Coast

Combine Far Eastern Horizons and North Pacific Passage for an epic 37-day journey. From imperial treasures to the magnificent natural beauty of the Alaskan wilderness, you will accompany locals as they reveal what they love most about the varied places they call home. A crossing of the historic Pacific Ocean links these diverse cultures, and overnight stays in five ports let you explore fully and take in the nuances and complexities of the North Pacific. The dock will be able to support Royal Caribbean’s Quantum-class ships, which carry more than 4,000 guests, about double the number of guests many cruise ships bring to Seward.

Follow our social media and blog for the latest cruise and travel news, including our best vacation deals. Whether it’s your cruise destination or a launching point, Vancouver is a beautiful destination in itself with a sophisticated downtown and lots of natural elements to explore. The beautiful small coastal town of Seward, which is most known for its picturesque scenic views and many visitors’ attractions, is a perfect addition for your next Alaska cruise. Viking's Alaskan voyages depart from conveniently located ports such as Seward and Vancouver. Both ports are easily accessible and offer pre- and post-cruise opportunities for exploration.

The railroad is now seeking an additional $75 million in bonding authority from the Legislature for the project, atop the $60 million in authorization it already holds. The project faces extra costs now compared to two years ago because of higher prices and the additional expense of building a much larger, new terminal, Clemens said. Day 3 was marked by the arrival in Valdez, which enjoys a breathtaking setting at the head of the fjord in Prince William Sound. We decided to take the Highlights of Valdez tour, which included the old town, the salmon hatchery and then a drive through Keystone Canyon to the Thompson Pass and Richardson Glacier. As a result, we didn’t get to walk around the town itself, although we could probably have fitted it in. I wrote a separate story about the waterfalls in Keystone Canyon which can be found here.

Explore North America’s Pacific Coast on this 9-day journey from Los Angeles to Vancouver, discover the beauty of the pristine coastline and picturesque beaches of the West Coast. This 13-day cruise from Barcelona to Venice (or the reverse) features some of the best the Mediterranean has to offer, including Barcelona, Toulon, Monte Carlo, Florence, Rome, Naples, the medieval town of Dubrovnik and Venice. This 8-day cruise from Barcelona to Rome (or the reverse) highlights Catalonia’s rich culture—its art, architecture and history—with France’s famed southern coast and Italy’s Renaissance treasures taking center stage.

Witness some of Alaska’s pristine beauty; pass Yakutat Bay on the journey to Hubbard Glacier. Celebrate Tlingit culture at a native village or search for wildlife such as whales or bears. Preston Carnahan, regional vice president for Royal Caribbean Group, said the 30-year commitment to the cruise port is unprecedented in Alaska. The old dock would be demolished late next year, with no disruption to service before the new dock is built, he said. The debt will be “solely an obligation of the railroad and not that of the state,” the railroad said in its statement. Authorizing legislation in both chambers has moved to the Finance committees after clearing the Transportation committees, Clemens said.

Business owners in Seward said more cruise visitors in the future would be a positive step for the economy, though the level of support for the plans was mixed. A floating dock will be safer than a fixed dock for passengers getting on and off ships, Davis said. It will rise and fall in tandem with the ship, eliminating concerns like the need to use steep ramps. Also, the larger terminal will better support community events that take place there in winter, she said.

Canada & New England Scenic Shores

The first day was registration and getting on board the ship and so our first real outing was the Resurrection Bay Wildlife cruise, which can be found via this link. The fun continues the minute cruisers disembark in each port, with excursions ranging from dogsledding to private helicopter tours. Back on board, Gabree recommends The Chef’s Table for a truly memorable meal — and I, too, can attest to this. While on board a Caribbean sailing with the cruise line, I had the chance to indulge in this chef- and sommelier-led multi-course food and wine pairing adventure. Four years later, I still find myself dreaming of the delicious circular-shaped dessert known as “The World” — the perfect combo of peanut butter ganache, chocolate mousse, and salted caramel gelato).

But isn’t it a lot of work to figure out a Greece holiday?

The museum also hosts a variety of lectures in both Bulgarian and English throughout the year. Head for a hike to reach the summit and you’ll be treated to incredible panoramic views over Sofia and the surrounding area. The highest summit is Cherni Vrah at 2,290 meters (7,513 feet). It’s surprisingly easy to reach Vitosha’s trails, all you have to do is take a bus to the Simeonovo ski lift. Once you arrive, you’ll feel worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the city, surrounded by craggy rocks and ancient pine trees. Vitosha mountain is part of Vitosha National Park, which is one of the oldest in the Balkans and includes a massive cave you can explore.

In addition, cruise fares can be hard to understand and compare. You might, for instance, see a fare listed online without the port charges, taxes and fees, which you only see after you give your personal details.

Remember, you might be a DIY type when booking airlines and hotels, but booking a cruise is more complex. If you enjoy doing your own research, focus on what to do and see in the ports of call. However, when it comes to booking the cruise, we recommend you still contact a travel agent who specializes in cruises to help you learn a few tips and avoid any rookie mistakes. There is so much good online information for Greece and the Greek Islands that it’s easy to arrange a Greek vacation on your own. Travel agencies promote the hotels and tours that they’ve arranged special deals with. It’s not necessary to use a travel agency or tour company for planning travel in Greece.

But, as booking online can often be confusing, a travel agent might be just what you need. CLIA Certifications require core curriculum training, cruise line product training, ship inspections and cruising experience. Attainment of each ascending level of Certification reflects a greater commitment on the part of the Certified Agent to acquire the expertise to better assist you in planning your next cruise. Just make sure you get the name and phone number of the representative for any follow-up questions. Companies such as Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Line provide online directories to help you find an experienced cruise travel agent near you. The incredibly detailed Thracian gold burial mask from the 4th century BCE has an especially impressive life-like appearance. This is a high-end pedestrian street filled with fashionable boutiques and designer shops, but it’s worth the stroll for the view of snow-capped Vitosha Mountain. Art Nouveau buildings line the street, and there are several small sidewalk cafes where you can grab a coffee and relax.

Etna is active, and you’ll often see it belching steam, but this doesn’t deter wine growers, who cultivate some of Italy’s finest wines on its fertile volcanic slopes. When you choose to apply (and are approved) for a new credit card through our site, we may receive compensation from our partners, and this may impact how or where these products appear. Please view our advertising policy and product review methodology for more information. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but be aware if the agent seems to be putting you off the line you were originally considering, as this could be the reason. On the plus side, an agent who is a preferred supplier might have negotiated rates with the cruise line and be able to call in favors, such as that bottle of Champagne or a cabin upgrade. For your first cruise, you might need help in matching your lifestyle and budget with a cruise line and destination.

Smith Boulevard is where you will find the public bus station. The bus service is pretty extensive and it is suitable to take to one of Aruba’s beaches for example. The beaches of Aruba are famous, spectacular, and very easy to enjoy on your own. The Bus Terminal is right in front of the port exit, public buses are affordable, have stops next to the most popular beaches, and taxis are not the rip-off found in many other Caribbean ports. Cruise ships to Aruba Island dock (anchor) at Oranjestad - port city on the island's western coast.

Incidentally, the Kukoo Kunucu Open Air Bus operates as a mobile party bus in the evening. When visiting Aruba by cruise ship, there are plenty of things you can do. Located in southern Aruba, the city’s streets and alleys are covered with murals painted by local and international artists.

It was built in the 18th century for coastline defense purposes, and nowadays it is the place where you can enjoy the remarkable artifacts and documents witnessing the island’s rich historical and cultural heritage. The fort is dominated by the Willem III Tower that was built one century later, in 1868, and served as a lighthouse and public clock tower. This is a must-see place if you want to learn about the island’s history!

Modern amenities in the city are an outdoor shopping mall (at Royal Plaza), as well as dining and drinking venues scattered along Main Street and Main Square. Fort Zoutman is a major tourist attraction, along with the Willem III Tower (near the fort) and the tax-free harbour zone (port locode AWORJ). Port Oranjestad Aruba cruise ship schedule shows timetable calendars of all arrival and departure dates by month. The port's schedule lists all ships (in links) with cruises going to or leaving from Oranjestad Aruba, Netherlands Antilles. To see the full itineraries (ports of call dates and arrival / departure times) and their lowest rates – just follow the corresponding ship-link.

Additionally, Aruba offers a vast selection of shore excursions tailored to cater to your interests. However, if you want to spend a beach day on this wonderful island, there are plenty of choices. There are no beaches near the cruise port, so to get to the first one – Eagle beach, which is one of top-rated Aruba’s beaches, you can either get a taxi or a public bus, and the ride lasts around 10 minutes. Eagle beach is a beautiful, long white sandy beach, with several beach bars and all necessary facilities.

Aruba is also a popular shopping destination for items such as Swiss watches and French perfumes. Surely you will not miss any of these streets if you look out for the tram tracks or the tram itself which offers both transportation and sightseeing to Plaza Nicky and back. Aruba is one of the most popular destinations in the south Caribbean itineraries. And there are good reasons why this island is a first sight love for most cruisers.

Shopping The terminal is close to the city centre of Oranjestad. This is where the shopping district starts and you will come across more and more stores the closer you get to the city centre of Oranjestad. Passengers will not require transportation to Oranjestad, due to its proximity to the cruise terminal. Oranjestad is a port city on Aruba Island - an island country, one Holland's overseas territories. The city is also the country's largest town and capital, with population around 35,000. Aruba is the smallest (total area 179 km2 / 69 mi2) of the ABC Duch islands in the Leeward Antilles group (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao).

This museum conserves the historical heritage of Aruba from the Spanish invasion around 1515 to colonialism. Every Tuesday evening the Bonbini festival takes place in Fort Zoutman with folkloristic music performances, dance performances and of course a lot of food. On the anniversary of the namesake, February 19, in the year 1869, the building as a lighthouse and as a city clock (every hour a battle) is put into use.
